Salve Regina University is located about 80 miles south of Boston and is situated on the southeastern end of Aquidneck Island in the city of Newport, Rhode Island. The campus is within walking distance from the beach, the center of historic downtown Newport, Cliff Walk, the largest collection of restored 18th century mansions (including the Vanderbilt’s, Doris Duke, Marble House and the Breakers.

It is expected that attendees will arrive/check-in on Sunday between 2:00 pm & 6:00 p.m. Anyone arriving after the GRC office closes at 9:00 pm on Sunday must make alternative housing arrangements.

Science Sessions are held in the air-conditioned Bazarsky Lecture Hall, located in the O’Hare Academics Center.

Poster Sessions and Socials are held on the first floor of McAuley Hall.

GRC participants are housed in dorm rooms with twin beds, private baths and ceiling fans. Linens, towels, soap and a drinking cup are provided in each room.

All Meals will be served in the air-conditioned Miley Hall Dining Room. Vegetarian entrees are available at all meals and kosher meals are available only if the request is made in advance of the meeting.

Free wireless Internet is available in the O'Hare Academic Center and the McKillop Library. There is also complimentary high speed Internet provided in each sleeping room (please bring your own Ethernet cable). Computers are available in the garden level of the McKillop Library (four PC labs and one MAC lab).

The site is fully handicapped accessible.

Conferees have access to the campus gym and there are volleyball and basketball courts as well as soccer and baseball fields available on campus. Equipment for these activities are available in the GRC office.

Animals are not permitted on site.

All GRC facilities are smoke free.
