Article IV:
Officers
SECTION 1. DIRECTOR
The principal executive officer of the CONFERENCES shall be a Director, to be appointed by the Board of Trustees, to hold office at the pleasure of the Board of Trustees, and to have authority and responsibility as provided in the Bylaws.
SECTION 2. CONFERENCE CHAIR
Each meeting of each conference shall have a conference Chair, to be the principal officer of that conference for that one meeting, to provide liaison between that meeting and the overall administration of the CONFERENCES, as provided in Article V, Section 1, to have other authority and responsibility as provided in the Bylaws, and to be designated and hold office according to whichever of the two following rules applies: (a) in the case of a newly established conference, the conference Chair shall be appointed by the Board of Trustees, to serve until the termination of the meeting for which the appointment was made, or (b) in the case where rescheduling of a conference is anticipated at a meeting, the intra-conference organization provided for in Article V, Section 3, shall designate, by a method specified by the Board of Trustees, a conference Chair, to hold office from the termination of that meeting until the termination of the next meeting of that conference.
