NSF Proposal Samples
This following information highlights National Science Foundation (NSF) proposal requirements, and provides comprehensive instructions and samples compiled by GRC to assist you with the proposal preparation and submission processes.
Gordon Research Conferences requires that your completed proposal be submitted to GRC 4 weeks prior to the NSF deadline. This deadline is required by GRC in order to provide adequate time to review your proposal and to better manage the volume of proposals being processed. NSF deadlines are program specific. Contact with your NSF Program Director prior to proposal submissions is strongly recommended. A list of programs is available at the NSF Funding Opportunities web page. The National Science Foundation has awarded Gordon Research Conferences more than four hundred thousand dollars annually during the last five years and GRC encourages you to submit a proposal if your conference furthers the goals of NSF.
NSF has certain review criteria it considers during a proposal's review process. Please download the NSF Proposal Processing and Review file, which contains this information. Detailed NSF Fastlane Instructions are also available to assist you in completing the NSF Fastlane Proposal. Please review this information prior to completing the proposal. You may want to contact the Program Director with any questions you may have regarding this information.
Proposals are submitted via the NSF Fastlane web site. You must upload and complete the required components of the proposal.
