The Conference
Is the conference application the same thing as registering for a conference?
No. Application to the conference is a two-step process. First, anyone who wishes to attend a GRC must submit an application to attend the conference. The online application form can be found here. Once an application is accepted by the Chair, an email message is sent to the applicant containing registration instructions.
Do my Speakers and Discussion Leaders have to apply to the conference?
The Chair, Vice-Chair, Speakers and Discussion Leaders will not have to apply to the conference if the Chair sends their names and contact information, and amount of support for the conference fee to their Conference Coordinator. A speaker list template is available in the "Documents and Templates" section of this Resource Center. The contact information will be entered by the Conference Coordinator and each Speaker or Discussion Leader will then receive their link to the registration form.
Does everyone have to register?
Yes, everyone must complete the registration form. Registrations should be completed and paid at least 3 weeks before the Conference.
Are there any discounts to the Conference Fee?
No.
What if a conferee will only attend the Conference for a part of the week?
The Conference fee is not pro-rated. The fee is the same if a conferee attends for only one day or the entire week. Of course, we encourage everyone to stay for the entire conference!
Can someone "stop-in" for a specific session?
No, the Conference sessions are open only to those who have applied and registered and paid the Conference Fee.
How do I know what the fee for my Conference will be?
The Conference Fees are published on the GRC web site (here), as well as on the program page for each meeting.
Does GRC provide any transportation to the Conference site?
GRC arranges bus service to many of our sites. A seat on the GRC bus must be reserved and paid for in advance. For information on these charted buses, as well as public and private transportation services, please check the Site & Travel Information section of the GRC web site.
Is Internet access available at my Conference site?
Internet access is available at all Conference sites, although the type of access varies from site to site. Please check the Site & Travel Information section of the GRC web site for more detailed information.
